Surface Treatment
| Often, component or assembly failures are caused by excessive wear, corrosion, high temperatures, or a combination thereof. When properly selected and applied, thermally sprayed coatings, such as ceramic, metal, and/or polymer, can help to minimize or even avert common parts failure.
Stork Materials Technology offers a full range of thermally sprayed surface treatments that work to extend the life of your parts and, ultimately, maximize the efficiency of your processes. Using fully automated coating and finishing processes to ensure consistency and repeatability, Stork Materials Technology engineered coatings can be applied to any metal or alloy substrate, as well as other types of substrates (e.g. carbon fiber). The range of engineered coating materials offered by Stork Materials Technology falls into three main categories: Ceramic Metal Polymer Working to specifications for your particular application, we will apply coatings from a minimum of 75 microns (0.003") in thicknesses up to 6mm (.25 inch). If required, Stork Materials Technology engineered coatings can be machined and ground to mirror finishes, yielding extremely tight tolerances. Once applied and finished, you can expect Stork Materials Technology engineered coatings to improve the performance of your parts through:
Stork Materials Technology thermal spray coatings also can be used to create a release against adhesives and other materials; to ensure precise ink and fluid metering surfaces (laser engraved anilox rolls); and to restore worn dimensions. Universal Applications |
