How will environmental conditions affect your products, parts, test components, or systems? Stork Materials Technology answers this question for businesses like yours everyday.
Stork can simulate a wide variety of environmental conditions to recreate those encountered by products, parts, test components, or systems in field use. In addition simulated conditions can be combined with operational requirements such as power/loading, hydraulic and pneumatic operation, and conditioned fuel, oil, or air. Stork experts can easily accommodate test programs adhering to ASTM, FAA, IEC, ISO, RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL Standards, and others.
Temperature, Humidity, Altitude & Vibration Stork has a variety of programmable test chambers in sizes ranging up to 13 feet wide by 25 feet long by 15 feet high to provide temperatures from 300° to 800°F, altitudes equvalent to up to 300,000 feet, and 5% to 98% relative humidity. Dynamic high flow air can be conditioned at temperatures up to 2,000°F. Temperature transition rates up to 20°C per minute are possible. Vibration can be added to these environments.
Altitude, Thermal Vacuum Testing Temperature extremes of -320°F to 2,000°F with combined ambient pressures of 1 x 10(-8) torr are available.
Explosive Atmosphere Stork's explosion susceptibility chambers are capable of attaining altitudes of 75,000 feet and temperatures up to 500°F. A wide variety of remote configurations are available to facilitate the operation of units under test. Test Fuels include hexane, aviation fuels, propane, butane, and hydrogen.
Salt Fog/Corrosive Atmosphere Stork experts can apply salt fog or synthetic sea water solutions of any concentration in atmospheric conditions of up to 100% relative humidity and temperatures as high as 175°F. Stork experts can also automatically inject sulfur dioxide (SO2) for acid rain simulation (ASTM G85, Copper Acidified Salt Solution).
Fungus Spore suspension and control item preparation are conducted in accordance with your detailed requirements. Our staff includes a certified microbiologist who performs all inspections required throughout the duration of the testing.
HALT/HASS (Highly Accelerated Life Testing/Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) HALT/HASS testing exposes a product to environmental conditions it is likely to experience, in order to test its reliability and maturity. Stork experts can identify defects that could take years to surface under normal conditions. HALT/HASS testing can also substantially reduce research and development costs and accelerate market introduction of reliable products. Read more about HALT and HASS testing here.
Icing/Snow/Rain/Wind Stork engineers can simulate severe meteorological events, including radial ice build-up, snow loads, and wind loading.
Solar Radiation/Weathering Effects Stork experts can simulate peak thermal response temperatures and long-term full spectrum (ultraviolet, visible, and infrared) actinic effects. Stork can also calibrate the solar spectrum as required (ultraviolet, visible, and infrared bands).
RDGT/TAAF Programs (Reliability Development Growth Test/Test, Analyze, and Fix Programs) Stork operates dedicated systems available to accommodate long-term combined temperature and vibration environments.
