Stork Climax Research Services, Inc. is a member of the Stork Materials Technology (SMT) group of companies. Stork Climax Research Services (CRS) is a full-service company that provides metallurgical engineering and testing located in Wixom. Stork CRS has testing capabilities and expert personnel who perform metallography; automated image analysis; scanning electron microscopy; chemical analysis; mechanical and fatigue testing; corrosion testing; and wear testing. The Stork CRS engineering staff has consulting experts in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, casting, welding, electrical engineering, failure analysis and expert witnessing. Our engineering experts analyze and solve problems in all grades of cast iron, aluminum, magnesium, steel and copper alloys. We conduct failure analyses, research, educational courses, defect analyses, and consult on process development for automotive companies and suppliers, other industrial clients and funding agencies. Stork CRS is A2LA-accredited per ISO 17025. Responsible for generating and managing projects to ensure jobs are completed on-schedule, within projected budgets, and with a high level of professionalism, quality and customer service. |
| Essential duties and responsibilities |

| Education |
MS degree with 3 years work experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years work experience and PE certification. |
| Experience | Consulting experience in either mechanical or materials engineering. Work experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical engineering, ferrous and nonferrous metals (especially wrought magnesium), nonmetallic materials, corrosion, automotive components, design, finite element analysis, litigation and expert witnessing. |

| Physical requirements |
Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Degree of required physical force: Light <20 lbs. of force. Frequency of required physical force: Occasional (moderate). Normal office environment. |
