| Summary of position |
The primary function of a Metals Technician I is to perform simple, routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Assists higher classified technicians to perform more complex tasks. Work is checked in progress and upon completion. This position is a technician level and reports to the Department Manager. | Education | Completion of a two-year program of technical/vocational training or equivalent experience, preferred but not required. |
