Stork Materials Technology Acquires Professional Metallurgical Services Inc. of Michigan
BUCHANAN, MI - July 16, 2007
Stork Materials Technology is pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets and business of Professional Metallurgical Services Inc. (ProMet) and welcome their staff to the Stork Climax Research Services team in Wixom.
ProMet, located in Buchanan, Michigan, is a highly regarded, A2LA-approved metallurgical testing and consulting laboratory, providing forensic metallurgy, failure analysis, routine testing, metallurgical failure analysis, and casting technology. ProMet President George Goodrich has been awarded the AFS/CMI Directors Award, AFS Service Citation and the AFS Award of Scientific Merit, and was the Presenter of the Charles Edgar Hoyt Memorial Lecture in 2004.

ProMet’s staff, resources and equipment will relocate to the Stork CRS facility in Wixom. Transfer of business from ProMet to Stork CRS is effective as of July 16.
