Description of operational unit	Stork East West Technology Corp. (Stork EWT) is a member of the Stork Materials Technology group of companies. Stork EWT provides Environmental and Nuclear Qualification Testing for Government and Industry and is one the largest suppliers of these services to the aerospace and defense industries in the world. Stork EWT provides a full spectrum of testing services, including extreme environment simulation; hydraulics/ pneumatics; FAA/JAA fire testing; vibration/shock (sine & random); nuclear qualification; seismic (earthquake simulation) and high pressure/flow testing. Stork EWT’s facilities are equipped for tests ranging from as small as a single component up to complete systems, in sizes and weights ranging from a few ounces to thousands of pounds. Stork EWT is approved by various Government agencies, major industry groups, and independent bodies, and its staff of expert test engineers assist its customers in tailoring specific test programs.
Summary of position	Stork EWT seeks a Test Engineer experienced in the design, set-up and management of complex and often tailored test programs. Impact on policy/decisions: Business unit/Company Impact on financial issues: Medium Impact on legal issues: Low
Essential duties/ responsibilities	The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the following specialties: Design of test programs tailored to specific customer demand Supervising fabrication of complex hydraulic / pneumatic, structural test systems Management of test programs Interpretation of test results
Education/Experience	Candidate will have a minimum B. S. in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of industrial or academic experience
Additional knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications, and licenses	Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Our preferred candidate will furthermore have the following skills: independent thought and problem-solving abilities accurate project budgeting and project delivery excellent oral communication in direct contact with fellow workers, vendors and clients command of writing for the preparation of proposals and technical reports enthusiasm for company promotion and sales to clients
Physical requirements	Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Degree of physical force: Light, <20 lbs of force. Frequency of required physical force: Occasional (moderate). Normal office and laboratory environment.
