Description of operational unit

Stork Twin City Testing Inc. is a member of the Stork Materials Technology (SMT) group of companies.

Our facility in St. Paul, Minnesota is the headquarters for Stork Twin City Testing. Since 1938, Twin City Testing has provided testing and inspection services to the upper northwest. Acquired by Stork in 1998, Stork TCT is now the most diverse testing laboratory in the Midwest.

Summary of position Performs equipment calibrations and conducts tests in accordance with procedures approved by the Level III Technician. Interprets, evaluates and documents test results and supervises work performed by Trainees and Level I Technicians.
Essential duties/ responsibilities
  • Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.  Tasks are performed both in the laboratory and off site.  Prepares test specimens, sets up and adjusts test equipment and records test data.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data.
  • Maintain related test equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Completion of a two-year program of technical trades training in an applicable subject and/or previous qualification or certification in at least one NDT method.
Experience Two to four years of experience in RT, MT, PT, and UT.
Additional skills or knowledge
  • Ability to organize and document NDI or NDT results.
  • Familiarity with testing codes and standards preferred.
Physical requirements Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Degree of required physical force: Up to 50 lbs. of force. Frequency of required physical force: Occasional (moderate).
