Founded by metallurgical engineer M.E. Holmberg, the centrally-located metallurgical testing facility has served the Houston area since 1951, becoming incorporated in 1963. The laboratory developed a global reputation for handing large and technically complicated projects with skill and professionalism, and for their expertise with new and emerging materials and processes.
In 2006, Metallurgical Consultants became part of the Stork Materials Technology group, allowing them to draw on the resources of the worldwide laboratory network while contributing their deep insight and knowledge of the booming energy sector.
