Stork completes intensive 5-day calibration project for Geveke Persluchttechniek
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - August 21, 2005
Geveke Persluchttechniek of The Netherlands operates a large fleet of service vehicles equipped with over 2300 instruments and tools to provide their customers with professional maintenance services. Stork FDO was asked to calibrate all instruments and inspect every tool with minimal interruption to the planning. Stork FDO, calling in Stork Intermes (both part of Stork SMT and specialists in calibration services) and Stork Primoteq (specialist in hoisting and lifting equipment) to assist, managed to complete the project in 5 days of hard work and careful scheduling. Conducting the work during the yearly "toolbox meetings" at various locations around the country, allowed loss of production to be minimized.
"This job took a lot of teamwork and planning," said Patrick Scholten, project leader of Stork FDO. "We were glad to see the different Stork companies come together and fulfill all of Geveke's needs. Once we had all the specifics of the jobs, it came together seamlessly."
Geveke Persluchttechniek's measuring instruments, hoists and lifting devices, electrical tools and personal protection equipment need to be calibrated and inspected in accordance with the relevant ISO standards. Stork has the expertise to handle these kind of projects. Test results were instantly registered in Stork FDO's calibration management system. Storkview, Stork's on-line web portal, expedited the process by allowing Geveke technicians to download calibration certificates and test reports as they were generated by Stork staff.
