Our facility in St. Paul, Minnesota is the headquarters for Stork Twin City Testing. Since 1938, Twin City Testing has provided testing and inspection services to the upper northwest. Acquired by Stork in 1998, Stork TCT is now the most diverse testing laboratory in the Midwest.

| Summary of position |
The primary function of the Project Manager I-Advanced Materials Testing (non-metallic), is to ensure efficient and orderly operations of all aspects of his/her department through hands on demonstration and supervision. The Project Manager exercises limited judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selection and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Assignments are screened for new or unusual problems, techniques and procedures are prescribed. Receives close supervision. Must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to:
- Leadership and managerial skills in activities for the department, supervise technicians, and will be responsible for department sales.
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
- Skills to communicate, monitor, and ensure progress toward attainment of location and company goals.
This position is a Project Manager level and reports to the Department Manager of Product Evaluation.

| Essential duties and responsibilities |
- Responsible for polymer testing project management, including staff assignments, resource planning, equipment allocations, schedules and costs.
- Performs root cause failure analysis of Advanced Materials or customer materials that fail standard tests.
- Ensures work is performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory agencies’ requirements. Must maintain current knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.
- Establishes and maintains client contact for the purpose of market/account development, understanding customers needs, building personal relationships, assuring quality satisfaction, and maintaining a professional consulting image.
- Accountable for development of projects.
Prepares written proposals, schedules test, analyzes test results, prepares reports, and
processes invoices.
- Responsible for personnel management of staff (if assigned) including hiring, training, and assignments, performance evaluations, salary administration, discipline, and employee morale.

| Education |
Bachelor’s degree in Material Sciences, with emphasis on Polymers, Plastics or Chemistry. |
| Years of Experience |
One to three years of experience. |
| Experience areas |
- Must have good mathematical knowledge.
- Must have experience in material science, polymer, plastics, or chemistry (non-metallic).
- Mechanical engineering experience preferred.
Must be experienced in Failure Analysis of polymers, composites, plastics, non-metallic parts.
- Must be experienced in interpreting testing procedures and requirements.
- Must be experienced in managing complex and sensitive issues with customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrated success in Excel and Word programs.
