Stork Testing & Metallurgical Consulting (TMC) is a member of the Stork Materials Technology (SMT) group of companies.
Serving the Gulf Coast since 1912Stork Southwestern Laboratories opened its doors nearly 100 years ago, in 1912. Stork SwL grew past its local roots into a nationally and internationally recognized engineering and testing company, offering services ranging from metallurgical analysis to product testing. Stork Metallurgical Consultants joined Stork in 2006, having served the Gulf Coast with metallurgical engineering projects for over 50 years. The laboratory developed a global reputation for handing large and technically complicated projects with skill and professionalism, and for their expertise with new and emerging materials and processes.
In August of 2008, after a summer of remodeling and renovation, Stork MC moved their laboratory out of its longtime Parnell Street home into the Stork SwL facilities. The move enabled the staff to offer customers more convenient integrated services from the centralized offices, especially helpful to the many customers who used the services of both laboratories. At an Open House on December 12, staff announced the name change to Stork Testing & Metallurgical Consulting, Inc. As a subsidiary of Stork Materials Technology (SMT) and its worldwide network of facilities, Stork TMC is able to offer our clients access to the expertise of over a thousand dedicated engineers, scientists, and technicians.
