PRIOR TO START-UP

  • Auditing the welding procedures
  • Verifying welder certifications
  • Verifying materials meet job specs (PMI)
  • Nondestructive testing of raw material (ultrasonic method) to ensure it meets requirements

VERIFICATIONS DURING FABRICATION

  • Check of weld preps/fit-ups
  • Ensuring welders are complying with welding procedures during welding
  • Visual inspections during welding to detect problems at the earliest stage, to prevent failures and delays
  • Tracking of welders to welds and components
  • Compiling data packages of all required/requested client documentation

POST-FABRICATION

  • Dimensional inspection of all the items to ensure they meet the drawings
  • Visual inspection of all welds
  • Nondestructive testing (X-ray, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant) of welds or seal surfaces
  • Monitoring of weld stress relief processes
  • Inspection of prep for painting
  • Verification of proper paint materials
  • Inspection of paint in-process and final
