Stork Materials Technology began as Stork N.V.'s in-house laboratory, supporting textile printing, poultry and food processing, aerospace, as well as industrial components and technical services provided by Stork. In 1987, under the name Stork FDO, six branch locations formed a network of independent outside engineering facilities, each responsible for generating its own revenue and profits.
By 2004, Stork Materials Technology had grown to include more than 20 facilities across North America and Europe. Stork laboratories lead the industry in innovative, customized testing programs for all types of projects and processes—from early R&D stages to continuing quality maintenance in the market and beyond.
